Brian Niccol is the new CEO Starbucks. This is coming after the Coffee and retail giant fired its former CEO ,Laxman Narasimhan.
Brian Niccol was born on August 16, 1974, in Orange County, California, has carved a remarkable career in the fast-food sector. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer for Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG). Niccol assumed the role of Chairman in March 2020 and has held the position of Chief Executive Officer since March 2018. Under his leadership, Chipotle has seen accelerated comparable sales growth.
Before joining Chipotle, Niccol graduated from the college of engineering and computing in 1996. He remains an alum member of the University of Miami’s Phi Delta Theta fraternity chapter and serves on the advisory council of Miami’s Farmer School of Business. One of his greatest takeaways from college was understanding the importance of technology.
